Women's Leadership Council

2007 Program Support

The six programs selected to receive grant funding are working across ethnic and economic lines to ensure hundreds of children are advancing their school readiness.

Through the evaluation process, the committee discovered school readiness is dependent on a strong relationship between the parent, child and daycare center.

That's why five of the six funded programs have specific parent education and outreach strategies.  The Council designated $311,000.
