United Way Maintains Current Investments, Announces New Grants
United Way remains committed to creating pathways out of poverty in our community, despite a tough funding environment. In eight of its 10 Agenda for Lasting Change goal areas, United Way will maintain current investment levels and has announced new multi-year grants in the remaining two goals.

Accenture wins award for dedication to the community
Accenture has been named a recipient of the Twin Cities Business Journal’s Jefferson Awards. These awards honor companies that excel at engaging their employees in the community through volunteerism.

United Way Partner Xcel Energy Honored with AFP Award
For it's ongoing philanthropy totaling $15.5 million in 2008, United Way recognizes Xcel Energy after the company received the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
